Definitions
“Eligible Customer” means any customer who satisfies the eligibility requirements listed under Section 2.
“HHO Price” means the customer’s per litre purchase price for home heating oil which shall be McDougall Energy’s posted price on the date when the Eligible Customer receives the delivery of heating oil.
“McDougall Energy” means McDougall Energy Inc. and Group of Companies.
“Program” means the program offering defined at section 1.
“Program Period” means the timeframe beginning on September 1, 2022 and ending on March 31, 2023.
- Program
Subject to the additional conditions set out in Section 3 and provided the eligibility requirements in Section 2 are met, a new customer who signs up for a home heating oil account with McDougall Energy during the Program Period will be eligible to receive a discount of $0.10 per litre off of McDougall Energy’s HHO Price. Eligible Customers will also receive one (1) free comprehensive inspection by McDougall Energy of the heating oil system at the Premises (defined below).
- Eligibility
To qualify for the Program, customers must:
- Be of age of majority in the Province of Ontario;
- Reside at a property within eligible regions of Ontario as described under Section 3 (the “Premises”);
- Sign up for a home heating oil account with McDougall Energy for the supply of home heating oil to the Premises and maintain their account in good standing;
- Be enrolled with McDougall Energy’s variable price program;
- Consume at the Premises a minimum of 1,500 litres of home heating oil annually;
- Be enrolled in McDougall Energy’s electronic billing;
- Be enrolled in McDougall Energy’s MyAccount customer portal; and
- Have not received a delivery from McDougall Energy in the previous twelve (12) month period
Additional Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions also apply to this Program:
- The Program is available to Eligible Customers only.
- Eligible Customers are responsible for providing supporting documentation to McDougall Energy in satisfaction of the eligibility requirements outlined in Section 2 including, without limitation, proof of age.
- The Program is not available to customers who are enrolled in McDougall Energy’s Price Protection Program (Fixed).
- Orders and subsequent deliveries of home heating oil that are below four hundred and fifty (450) litres will attract an additional low volume fee of seventy-five ($75.00) dollars.
- The Program is not available across all regions of Ontario and is limited to Eligible Customers residing in certain region of Ontario. Please contact McDougall Energy at info@mcdougallenergy.com to determine whether your Ontario region qualifies.
- McDougall Energy reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, expand or restrict the eligible regions of Ontario.
- Eligible Customers are not entitled to change, upgrade, combine or substitute the Program.
- The Program is applicable to one (1) residential property. For clarity, an Eligible Customer requesting a Program for multiple residential properties will require a separate Program for each residential property.
- McDougall Energy may change the Program and these Terms and Conditions at any time without providing notice. The posting of the current and any amended Terms and Conditions at [insert URL] shall be deemed sufficient notice to customers.
- In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Conditions and the content of any document, brochure or promotional material advertising the Program, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. Customers may access the current terms and conditions by visiting [insert URL] or by request at info@mcdougallenergy.com.
- McDougall Energy reserves the right to suspend, disqualify, limit or revoke the Program to any person or customer who is found or believed to be manipulating or otherwise abusing the process, fairness, integrity or operation o the Program. The decision to exercise this right shall be at the sole discretion of McDougall Energy.
