Community Investment: McDougall Energy Commits $15,000 in Fuel Support to Harvest Algoma

McDougall Energy is proud to support Harvest Algoma through a three-year commitment, providing $15,000 in fuel cost assistance between 2025 and 2027 to help the organization continue its efforts to combat food insecurity across the Algoma District.

The fuel support will help offset transportation costs associated with food rescue, distribution, and community outreach initiatives, enabling Harvest Algoma to continue connecting surplus food with individuals, families, and organizations in need throughout the region.

Harvest Algoma plays a critical role in strengthening local food systems by rescuing nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste and redistributing it to communities across Algoma. Reliable transportation is essential to sustaining this work, which distributes more than 490,000 pounds of food annually to 65 community agencies, programs, and food banks across the Algoma District, while continually looking for opportunities to expand its reach and maximize its impact across Northern Ontario.
