McDougall Energy Spreads Holiday Cheer, Donating $50,000 to Local Charities across Ontario
McDougall Energy Inc. has donated $50,000 toward 16 charities across Ontario supporting children, families, and individuals in need this holiday season.
Donations have been distributed to:
- Blind River & Area Christmas Baskets, Blind River
- Burford Food Bank, Burford
- Carleton Place Christmas Basket Program, Carleton Place
- Christmas Cheer, Sault Ste. Marie
- Community Care of St. Catharines & Thorold, Catharines
- The CTV-LIONS Children Christmas Telethon, Sudbury
- Elks Hall Christmas Baskets, Nairn Centre/Espanola
- Elliot Lake Food Bank, Elliot Lake
- LifeSpin – Christmas Program, London

- The North Bay Santa Fund, North Bay
- Regional Food Distribution Association (RFDA) Holiday Hamper Fund, Thunder Bay
- Salvation Army Kingston Christmas Hamper Campaign, Kingston
- Salvation Army Owen Sound, Owen Sound
- South Porcupine Food Bank, Timmins
These organizations rely heavily on volunteers, community support, and donations to keep their Christmas programs operating. Funds distributed will contribute to purchasing the remaining goods required to stock shelves or pack gift baskets/hampers this season. Recipients of the gift baskets/hampers include children, families, and individuals who need additional support this holiday season.
In speaking with the charities, it has been repeatedly expressed that the demand for support services has increased year over year, making donations by community sponsors that much more important to help meet the needs of these programs and clients. As prices continue to rise and expenses heighten in the winter months, programs that support individuals with food insecurities are essential to alleviate financial stress this time of year.
“McDougall Energy and Group of Companies is built on the support of communities we operate within, and we are committed to giving back to dedicated organizations that help make a difference every day,” says Darren McDougall, President of McDougall Energy Inc. “By supporting various food banks and Christmas Hamper programs in the regions we operate in, we hope to bring extra joy to children, families, and individuals who could use additional support this holiday season.”
Local McDougall Energy team members are meeting with the charity recipients throughout December, gifting them with donations and thanking them for their service to their communities.
